Life is an art and a game of relationships. The beauty of this game depends on the level of co-operation – rather than competition – among the players. In the presence of co-operation, the game of relationships is played by players who should be friends, never competitors. This is the New Age Game.

The purpose of this game is to improve mutual relationships, to establish correct relations. It must be pointed out that all situations which are not contemplated by the Rules will be settled by agreement reached among co-operators.

The rules to be followed are simple and few in number:

1. Each player must hold an object in his hand, which is, represents or symbolises that which is more dearly held by him/her, and which will be called the heart.
2. When it is his/her turn to play, each player should look directly into the eyes of the player he/she will be addressing.
3. Each time he/she wants to speak, each player should hold in his hand:

• The heart of the player he/she is addressing;
• Or the heart of the player he/she suggests – by means of this gesture of "taking" his/her heart - speaks next. When finished speaking, it will be returned;
• Or, holding no object in his/her hands, he/she opens both hands with palms facing upwards, starting his/her intervention with the magical words: "I, pervaded with the spirit of goodwill" and getting on with the rest of the intervention. This is always the first move.

All the players in the co-operators’ team should have a sheet of paper and a pen ready.

All the players will have previously thought about a theme for the game – group theme – bringing it with them. The theme to be worked on can be a difficulty, a challenge, a problem, something that may have hindered or that is thought to hinder more correct relations between two or more players of the co-operators’ team.

In case no one wants to start the game, everyone will draw stakes, thus finding the first person who will start the game with the first move.

The first player will then begin the game with the magical words and present "his/her" group theme. The other themes brought by the other players will be used for other games.

Once the group theme is put forth, a brief period of silence will follow, during which each player will envision and write down a goodwill idea, as a "reply" found for the theme in question.

The game will move on with interventions with goodwill ideas, always having in mind the search for a final result: the solution or, at least, the smoothing out of the group theme at stake.

Any player can at any time ask to intervene to say: "let us remember to place ourselves in each other’s position".

The game will be finished as soon as an (a certain) agreement is reached. Everyone will then hold their hands with palms facing upwards, think about the magical words and one of them will say "Goodwill is Love in action".
